Multi-account trading: one order, every account you switch on
If you run several prop accounts, yes, there is a way to place one trade on all of them at once. Fanout is a multi-account trading platform for Vest Capital and Breakout accounts. You put the order in one ticket and it goes out to each account you've switched on, and one ticket can include Vest and Breakout accounts together. You see a preview for every account before you send, and a separate result for every account after ("5 of 6 filled"). Fanout isn't a leader-to-follower copier. It warns you about risk and never blocks a trade. Trading leveraged products carries real risk; read our risk disclosure.
Why trading many accounts by hand breaks down
The setup is rarely the problem. The repetition is.
When you trade five or ten accounts by hand, you place the same order five or ten times. Each one is a fresh chance to type the wrong size, hit sell instead of buy, or skip an account and not notice until the end of the day. Accounts drift apart. One ends up long, one ends up flat, and you're no longer trading one plan.
Sizing is the second problem. A $5,000 eval and a $25,000 account shouldn't take the same size, so you end up doing different math in your head for every account, on every trade.
Exits are the third. When the market moves fast, every account you haven't closed yet is still exposed while you work through the tabs.
How Fanout places one order across your accounts
1. Connect your accounts
You sign in to Vest in your own browser, the same way you do today, and the Fanout Connector pairs it. Fanout never sees your Vest password. Orders are placed from your own browser or PC, and the session tokens Fanout keeps are encrypted at rest. Access is invite-only for now.
2. Pick accounts and size each one
Switch on the accounts you want in this trade. Each account can carry its own size multiplier, so a smaller eval can take half size while a larger account takes more. You can also size by dollar risk instead of a contract amount. On Breakout, an entry with a stop also needs a take-profit; otherwise set the stop after the fill. If the ticket includes Breakout accounts, each Breakout row shows its own translated price and its size is rounded down to Breakout's lot.
3. Preview, then send once
Before anything goes out, Fanout shows a per-account preview with each account's size and notional. It warns you about notional and leverage, and flags any account that already holds the opposite side. Sending takes two clicks by default, and the button is disabled while the order is in flight. If you'd rather go faster, there's an optional one-click setting, off by default.
4. One result per account
Every account reports back on its own. A result like "5 of 6 filled" tells you which account needs a look instead of making you check every tab.
You get live prices, live unrealized P&L and a candle chart on the same screen. Entries can be market, limit, stop or scale orders, and working orders sit in their own Orders view. Scale orders and stop entries aren't sent to Breakout accounts yet.
See each account's room before you trade
With several accounts, the risk is a trade that's fine for most of them but too big for one.
Fanout shows every account on one screen with rule cards and room meters for drawdown and daily loss. When the loss at your stop would run past an account's daily or drawdown room, that account gets a warning before you send.
These are warnings only. Fanout never blocks a trade and never skips an account. You make the call.
If you trade Vest, our guide to Vest Capital's drawdown and daily-loss rules explains how those floors are set.
Close one position, a whole symbol, or everything
Getting out needs to be as fast as getting in. In Fanout you can:
- close a single position on one account;
- close a symbol on every account that holds it, leaving your other positions open;
- use Flatten all. The first click arms it and the second confirms.
You can set take-profit and stop-loss when you open a trade and edit them inline afterwards. A trigger on the wrong side of the mark is refused.
Built not to double-fire
What happens if your connection drops in the middle of an order? Each order is authorized exactly once and never resent automatically. If an account's outcome is uncertain, Fanout holds that account until it's reconciled, so you don't end up with a surprise second position. Only one executor is active at a time.
How this differs from a trade copier
Most multi-account tools are copiers: you trade a leader account and the tool mirrors it to follower accounts. Fanout works differently. You trade in Fanout, and the order fans out from one ticket.
| Trade copier (leader → followers) | Fanout (one ticket) | |
|---|---|---|
| Is there a leader account? | Yes. Followers copy what the leader does. | No. One ticket goes to each account you switch on. |
| What if one account closes? | Depends on the tool. If it's the leader, followers may stop getting trades. | Each account gets its own order and its own result, so there's no leader to lose. |
| Does it block trades? | Depends on the tool. | No. It warns about room, notional, leverage and opposite-side positions, and you decide. |
| Where do orders run? | Depends on the tool. | From your own browser or PC. Fanout's servers never place Vest orders. |
| Does your computer need to be on? | Depends on the tool. | Yes. Orders run from your machine; there's no always-on cloud option yet. |

Check your firm's rules before you run many accounts
Every prop firm sets its own rules, and they can change. Here is what the two firms Fanout supports say, quoted directly. Read the full terms yourself and confirm with the firm.
Rules last checked: 2026-10-17.
Vest Capital. Vest's Prop Terms of Service (last updated October 6, 2026) say:
"You may maintain only one user registration profile, but may open, access, maintain, or operate up to ten (10) Instant Funded Accounts and up to one hundred (100) Evaluation Accounts at any one time under that profile."
They also say, in §5(m), that you may not:
"collude with another Person, use multiple identities or misuse multiple Accounts, or exploit technical errors, latency, risk limits, payout calculations, or differences among trading venues to circumvent Program Rules or obtain compensation based on artificial or distorted virtual results;"
Vest's terms don't mention copy trading. You carry that risk, so read the Prop Terms yourself and confirm with Vest. Our Vest Capital rules guide covers the limits in more detail.
Breakout. Breakout lists this among its prohibited trading practices (item 11):
"Sharing account access, or trading multiple accounts from the same household, device, or IP address"
Its hedging and copy trading rules prohibit:
"Cross-account hedging: opposite positions on the same or closely correlated assets across two or more accounts (any combination of evaluation and funded), regardless of whether the accounts share a name, email, or identity"
Fanout's understanding is that item 11 is about several people trading from one household, device or IP, not one trader running their own accounts. Breakout hasn't confirmed this to us, so confirm it with Breakout before you trade.
Whatever firm you use, Fanout is for your own accounts only.
Managing several funded accounts day to day
Day to day it's a short loop. Preview each account, send once, and check each account's result. Our guide to managing multiple Vest accounts goes through it in detail.
FAQ
Can you trade multiple funded accounts at once?
Yes, with a tool that sends your order to each account. In Fanout, one ticket goes to every account you switch on, and each account reports its own result. Whether that's acceptable is up to each firm's rules, so read the rules section above and confirm with your firm.
Can I place one order on several accounts without a leader account?
Yes. Fanout has no leader account. You place one order and it goes to each account you've switched on, each with its own result.
Is copy trading allowed at my prop firm?
Only your firm can answer that. Vest's terms don't mention copy trading; you carry that risk, so read the Prop Terms and confirm with Vest. For Breakout, read the hedging and copy trading rules quoted above and confirm with Breakout.
How many funded accounts can you have?
Vest's Prop Terms cap a single profile at "up to ten (10) Instant Funded Accounts and up to one hundred (100) Evaluation Accounts at any one time" (source). Breakout says: "Yes, you can purchase multiple evaluations." (source). Breakout doesn't state a number.
